Next, incisions are strategically placed in hidden areas around the ear and hairline. Excess skin is meticulously removed, with extreme care taken to avoid any unnatural or “overpulled” appearance. The soft tissues underneath are repositioned and elevated using suture techniques to re-contour the jowls, jawline, and neck, and platysmal bands are corrected to restore neck contour. This resuspension restores volume to the upper face and recreates a youthful appearance.

Finally, once the face is revolumized and the soft tissues suspended, a resurfacing procedure smooths fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration — commonly with a medium-depth medical-grade peel or a fractional erbium resurfacing laser. When needed, a brow lift and eyelid surgery are often performed at the same time to correct sagging in the upper face.
