What Is UPNEEQ?

Blepharoptosis or droopy upper eyelids is a common condition that makes the eyes look tired or “lazy.” It is more common as you get older, but it can occur at any age. Ptosis conditions can be repaired with plastic surgery, but there are also minimally invasive treatments that can result in eyes that look more open and energetic. One of these treatments is UPNEEQ prescription eye drops for blepharoptosis.

UPNEEQ’s main ingredient is oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution, which is used to treat acquired blepharoptosis in adults. The drops work by contracting muscles in the upper eyelid, allowing the eyelid to adjust upward by 1 to 2 millimeters. The effects of UPNEEQ are noticeable in about 15 minutes and last 6 to 8 hours. The eyedrops can be used daily to achieve a more alert, youthful appearance to low-lying upper eyelids.
