How the GalaFLEX Mesh Works

The GalaFLEX mesh is inserted during cosmetic breast surgery and attached to the chest wall to provide support. Mesh fibers anchor and lift breast tissue firmly to the skin like an internal bra. Over a couple of years, the material dissolves into the body as water and carbon dioxide after building a network of elastin and collagen. The newly formed collagen tissue can be up to four times stronger than the original breast tissue.

This can help tighten and firm tissues and muscles for natural and long-lasting results. The GalaFLEX procedure can be used to support any breast augmentation procedure, including implants, revisions and breast reduction. Recovery after this minimally invasive cosmetic procedure can take approximately six weeks, and you may need to take a week off work while you heal.
