What Is PAL?

Traditional liposuction uses suction and manual cannula movements to remove fatty deposits. Heat-assisted liposuction raises the temperature of the fat cells for easier removal, but there are risks of tissue burns. Power-assisted liposuction, or PAL, by MicroAire, uses a cannula that moves back and forth from the powered device to break up fat before suctioning out the fatty tissue.

The benefits of PAL over traditional or heat-assisted lipo can include:

Quicker, more efficient procedure than traditional lipo
Less invasive with smaller incisions than heat-assisted lipo
Fewer complications, such as burns, bruising and seromas
Less damage to the surrounding tissue, which can reduce post-procedure discomfort

Is PAL Right for You?

MicroAire PAL is an excellent procedure for individuals within 30% of their ideal weight who want to slim targeted fatty areas. Good candidates for PAL have firm skin or good elasticity – unlike some heat-assisted lipo, PAL does not stimulate collagen or contraction of the skin for tightening. PAL, like most liposuction procedures, requires recovery and downtime, including wearing compression garments to aid in healing.

I had three consultations and didn't make any decisions lightly, but Dr. Dayan blew the competition out of the water. From the moment I met him during my consultation, he was honest and open while also personable. Absolutely an amazing experience! Where to start? When I first thought of getting a mommy makeover my expectations were not that high because I didn’t ever think I could look the way I wanted to.
