VASER® Liposuction

One of the advanced liposuction options available at Avance Plastic Surgery is VASERlipo®. VASER is an acronym for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, a type of ultrasonic energy that helps break up the fat cells before they are suctioned out through a cannula. Dr. Erez Dayan and his team are highly experienced at body contouring with liposculpture and utilize VASER® liposuction as one of the tools to create stunning results for our patients.

VASER vs. Traditional Liposuction

Both traditional and VASER liposuction remove unwanted fat deposits by suctioning them through a cannula inserted under the skin. Both procedures start with a small incision in the targeted area to inject a saline solution to expand the area and constrict blood vessels. The difference is how the fat cells are dislodged for removal. Traditional liposuction requires manually clearing the fat to disconnect it from the surrounding tissue. VASER uses sound energy waves to vibrate the fat loose without the ripping effect. This can reduce damage to the surrounding tissue and may reduce pain, swelling and bruising post-procedure.

Is VASER Liposculpture Right for You?

I had three consultations and didn't make any decisions lightly, but Dr. Dayan blew the competition out of the water. From the moment I met him during my consultation, he was honest and open while also personable. Absolutely an amazing experience! Where to start? When I first thought of getting a mommy makeover my expectations were not that high because I didn’t ever think I could look the way I wanted to.
